conviction is a choice.
waiting vs. believing
Sometimes, we wait to feel like we’re ready.
We are teetering around, biting our lip, and hiding under the covers. We put our hands on our chest and wonder when the feeling of certainty will come.
When will we feel ready? When will my nervous system be on board? When will everything make sense?!
While we wait, we continue doing the same things and struggle to keep our thoughts clear. What if I told you that feeling ready isn’t something that comes? It’s something you choose. You choose for your nervous system to be on board. You choose everything to make enough sense.
You have to choose it.
When you make the choices, I choose to go forward. I choose to be convinced in what I want and who I am. I choose to believe that I will be led to that conviction, or better, watch how fast that nervousness vanishes. Watch how uncertainty turns into courage. It all happens so fast when you finally, firmly choose.
You know what choice you are going to make.
